1. Who We Are

Solidev Store is an Android app marketplace operated by Solidev ElectroSoft, accessible at solidev.store and store.solidevelectrosoft.com. References to "we", "us", or "our" in this policy refer to Solidev ElectroSoft.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Account data — display name and email address collected via Firebase Authentication (email/password or Google Sign-In)
• Profile information — optional display name and profile picture
• Reviews and ratings — text and star rating you submit for apps
• Contact form submissions — name, email, and message when you use our contact page
• Newsletter subscriptions — email address if you choose to subscribe

Information collected automatically

• Download history — a record of APKs you have downloaded, stored in your user profile in Firestore
• Usage analytics — page views, session duration, app detail views, and download events collected via Firebase Analytics (Google LLC). Analytics data is only collected after you explicitly accept analytics cookies via our cookie consent banner. If you choose "Necessary only", no analytics data is collected.
• Firebase Analytics data retention — event-level data is retained for 14 months in Google Analytics. Aggregated reports may be kept indefinitely. You can opt out at any time by visiting Cookie Settings.
• Device and browser data — collected automatically by Firebase Analytics if consented to; includes browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and approximate geographic location (country/city level, derived from IP address)

Third-party APK downloads

When you download an APK from Solidev Store, the file is served from Firebase Storage (Google LLC). Google may log the request including your IP address in accordance with their own privacy policy. We record the download event (app ID, timestamp) in your user profile for your download history.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Authenticate you and maintain your account
• Display your download history and app reviews in your profile
• Analyse platform usage to improve the store (analytics only with consent)
• Respond to contact form enquiries
• Send newsletter updates (only if subscribed; you can unsubscribe at any time)
• Enforce our Terms & Conditions and protect the platform from abuse

We do not use your data for targeted advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to any third party.

4. Third-Party Services We Use

Each provider's privacy policy governs their use of data. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy. Microsoft's is at privacy.microsoft.com.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser localStorage (not HTTP cookies) to store:

• Cookie consent preference (solidev_cookie_consent) — your analytics consent choice. Retained indefinitely so we do not re-prompt you.
• Recent searches (recentSearches) — your last 5 search terms for convenience. Never sent to our servers.

Firebase Analytics may set its own cookies if you have consented to analytics. See our Cookie Policy for full details and opt-out instructions.

6. Data Retention

• Account data — retained until you delete your account
• Download history and reviews — retained with your account; deleted when you delete your account
• Contact form submissions — retained for up to 2 years for support reference
• Firebase Analytics events — 14-month rolling window (Google's default retention)
• Newsletter subscriptions — retained until you unsubscribe

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location (EU/UK GDPR, Canadian PIPEDA, or applicable law), you may have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Rectification — update incorrect or incomplete data (via your profile settings)
• Erasure — request deletion of your account and associated data
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Object — object to processing for analytics (withdraw consent via cookie settings at any time)
• Restriction — request we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances

8. Children's Privacy

Solidev Store is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 where required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided personal data without parental consent, we will delete it promptly. Contact us at admin@solidevelectrosoft.com if you believe this has occurred.

9. Data Security

We protect your data using industry-standard measures: HTTPS for all data in transit, Firebase Security Rules restricting Firestore and Storage access to authorised users only, and Firebase Authentication for identity verification. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International Data Transfers

Solidev Store is operated from Canada. Firebase and Azure infrastructure may process your data in data centres located in the United States and other countries. Google and Microsoft maintain appropriate data transfer mechanisms (Standard Contractual Clauses) for transfers from the EEA/UK.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you by email or by a notice on the store. Continued use of Solidev Store after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
